Clementine music player on Lubuntu

Like the previous version of lubuntu, lubuntu 16.04 also comes with audacious for music player, audacious is good, simple and easy to use, but if you want something more, you should checkout clementine.

Clementine is a music player for lubuntu and ubuntu, it has nicer user interface and has more advanced features compared with audacious. Clementine available on lubuntu/ubuntu repository, so no need to add PPA repo.

Installing clementine on lubuntu is very easy, just like any other program, you simply open terminal/ console/ command line (press CTRL + ALT + T) and then run this:

sudo apt-get install clementine

And of course you can also install clementine using lubuntu software center if you prefer graphical mode. Once installed, you can find clementine from the lubuntu start menu > Sound & Video > Clementine.

Clementine package is about 76,9 MB, that's quite big but it can do many things such as play internet radio, connect to spotify, soundcloud, google drive, dropbox, etc, you can even add your own internet radio station.

With clementine you can browse local directory very easy, no need to drag and drop your mp3 files to the playlist, you just hit files tab and browse the folder from the small window, brilliant!

Clementine is made using QT C++ framework, no wonder the user interface is nice and smooth, i really love it, this probably the best music player on lubuntu. Clementine is highly recommended music player for lubuntu/ubuntu.

~ cheers ~
